“When they intermingle they keep going forward and never stopping intermingling with each other and creating more of the things from the 5 senses and 64 arts and sciences.
He said you have to tie up the mind like a dog to a tree when it wants something then you just tell it,
“Ok ok, a little later, just wait a little bit longer (or throw it a bone?)”
“He said if you want to reduce your weight, just sit at a cafe with nothing and tell your mind if it's so powerful to go get something while you sit there”.
“After a while it will give up and leave you alone and you'll have more control of it which is something I guess to do with will power or inner power over the mind”,
“My Dad (Rad.) said that you mind and desire are like horses, you have to control them or they will control you.
“So from all this I guess you have to BELIEVE that we are not separate from God and whenever something arises where the Mind wants to have any bad qualities like revenge, hatred, miserliness, lust intoxication, etc. that is not God or related to God's good qualities we have to say to it either just wait a little bit longer before doing anything or we have to sit still and say 'go yell at that person' but just sit there quietly instead or even better would be to show that person love”.
“Like say to yourself, if you get mad at anyone, you will (have to) buy them some sweet or card or something nice or put a dollar in a jar or something.
“In a way I guess when we DON'T ACT with Gods qualities we are separate from God, but when we DO ACT with His qualities of patience, contentment, gratitude, Tawakkal and Alhamdulillah we ARE with God, as those are His and we make His qualities ours.
