If I remember correctly, your birthday falls in November and this will be the big 8 0!

Not sure when your exact birthday occurs so let me be one of the first to wish you a Happy Birthday and many more.

I crossed the big 8 0 in September and it wasn’t as bad as expected. Can’t believe that our classmates are now all becoming octogenarians. I know our classmates, Pierce and Nils, are “youngsters” and will not be eighty until next year.

Joan and I are headed to Branson, Missouri on a bus tour for a week. We have heard a lot about Branson but have never been there.

Will not be going over to NJ for the luncheon this month but hope to make it in December. Will let you know if that happens.

Also, a Happy Marine Corps birthday on the 10th, and Happy Veteran’s Day on the 11th to you, Pierce, and Nils.

You should think about these with subtle wisdom, my son.

Then you will see that God is within you.

You cannot fathom the mystery

the bliss of such worship.

The spark of graceful wisdom is already established

in the helpless baby at birth.

Therefore, the grace of gnaanam is in everybody.

But man does not know how to make use of this

and becomes “manu-neesan,“ the degraded one.

His character and conduct display a false appearance.

He calls himself a manu-eesan and assumes both these roles.

Both

“manu-neesan“, the degraded one.

And

“manu-eesan“, the divine one.

If a virtuous guru is available to him,

He shows himself as manu-eesan

and creeps into his wisdom,

He divides the six facets of wisdom,

dispels the false substance

and lights up the bliss of the Omnipresent God.

He is destructible

but shows himself exlclusively as manu-eesan.

It is for this reason that I say

you need a true guru with wisdom.

You should trace him and stick to him.

The guru does not discriminate

between the high and the humble.

stays with the wise

as wisdom, as compassion, as grace, as a limb,

as a resplendent wisdom that rules the world,

as the ripe fruit of wisdom,

as the honey of joy,
