Louie My Shaikh forgive my absence of emails, but I hope you felt me sending love to you through the heart.

Louie Bawa Louie I'm sure you figured out from my last email that I thought you had left the body and made sister Aziza, Louie may Allah be pleased with her, the Shaikh in your stead.

I understand you are still with us.

Her letter, or journal entry, has helped me come up with new questions. I think I have come to a greater understanding.

Louie Bawa Louie when you were in the car with her and asked her if she understood, she said yes, and then you did to her what it seems you do to all your children, you said NO, you, the beast do not understand.

Louie Bawa Louie are you trying to tell us that as soon as we understand anything we are caught by the beast because we can't DO anything, because we aren't real?

Like if you say 2 + 2 = 4 understand, even if I do in reality I do not because there is no understanding, there's only Allah, and only Allah can understand, because only Allah is real?

Even when you tell us, yes you are right, or you understand, we don't truly understand do we, this is our beast butting in, yes?

Louie Bawa Louie are you just trying to tell us to DO, and by DO I mean say “Louie” and understand Allah is DOING IT through the form and name we see and hear, and only DO what you say without trying to have an intellectual understanding of it because our understanding, even if accurate, is only an illusion of understanding, or us practicing understanding?

Louie Bawa Louie my next question is an I supposed to still be reading the songs morning and night?

Also when my sister spoke about reading the Golden Words book everyday, the way she talked about it made me question something.

Am I supposed to actually speak each of those words in my mind, and by me of course I mean you, but do we do that or just look over each word quickly, knowing that you are reading and understanding each word as our eyes fall on them?

Louie Bawa Louie my final set of questions, for today only is about the 5 kalimahs, which you are now doing for this child when he remembers.

Is it ok to do the first two for a while, the third for a while, and the fourth and fifth for a while, while doing daily tasks?

It is much easier to do two at a time, and all five when I am free from having to focus on worldly things.

I count the third as two because I am giving salams to the Prophet, may the peace of Allah be upon him, after I say it.

I am also saying it with the breath because this child has done that for so long it is easier. I am not doing the spinal breath though.

I say the first kalimah on the inhale, second on the exhale, third on the inhale, give salams on the exhale, fourth on the inhale, and fifth on the exhale.

I remember your Bawa saying huuu and haaa have to be in balance, and I am afraid to say the first on the exhale, unless you say it is ok.

Is the way we have been doing it ok?

I also wanted to ask your permission to start the spinal breath again, and after I reach the natural pause after the inhale and exhale, if I, we, can say each of the kalimahs at this pause.

Regardless of IT, IF the answer is yes or no I would like your permission, after the spinal breathing, or in absence of it to shift my awareness to the physical heart, so I might be near the bismin kai, and continue to say all five of the kalimahs there.
