Hello Louie,
It is always so nice to see you coming through the store, you are always so thoughtful and caring. I always enjoy talking with you.
Thank you for asking about my writing. The piece that I've written is a Young Adult fantasy. As I finished it I found that it is too short to be a book, and as I investigate further it appears to be too long to be published as anything else. I've actually found some literary journals that include YA writing, so I'm looking that over a little. I'm undecided, I may self-publish it or try submitting it, time will tell.
Anyway, here it is: "Jess Laura Michael."
Please don't feel any pressure to read it, it is just available if you have the time or the inclination. Because I'm considering self-publishing and it is too short to be a whole book by itself, I've included some much shorter pieces that I think somehow fit well with it. If you are not up for reading "Jess Laura Michael" you might look at the last group of short pieces called "Various," which begins with a short piece called "Veins of a Leaf." That section may give you more of an idea of who I am and what I find meaningful.
I don't usually send such a long piece of writing to friends, I feel like it is an awful lot to ask of anyone to commit their time to. So there is no pressure from me for you to read it. However, I'm honored that you asked. If you get into it I hope that you can enjoy yourself with it. (Also, if this is in a computer format that you can't open please let me know, I can probably convert to a different file format).

Laura is her younger sister, whom she loves. She is like yellow, a soft yellow, the color of her hair, touched with the lightest of brown. Unimposing, ever present gentleness, laughter from the smallest of things, like a hand in your own that starts you skipping, keeps you skipping like you did when you were younger…
